I am used to reading about Rosalie's demon half-brothers, so when I downloaded this book I knew I was going to have to shift gears a little bit. The paranormal creatures would be different, but this is also a novella and not a full length novel so I needed to adjust there as well. I am always hesitant about novellas, since they are so much shorter, but I have come to love Rosalie's work, so I kept an open mind going into this book.I am really glad I did give this series a shot now, because I loved this story! There is a threat looming in the distance in this world, but there is not really a major battle or anything like that through the course of the plot. I did not miss that aspect of the book at all though. Rosalie really took the time to let Michael and Eva's bond grow and I appreciated that. Sometimes with novellas, the characters just rush into the romance without taking time to breathe and that often bothers me. Not in this story, they do have an instant connection, but time is taken to explore their bond and this helped me connect with each of them.
I also like the idea of the Fallen helping humans fight against the other angels. In this world, the angels control life on earth and we are basically their slaves. The worst part is, most humans don't even seem to care or notice that they are prisoners in their own world. Angels feel that they are superior to humans and because of this we should fall at their feet and do their bidding. Luckily, the Fallen do not feel this way and this is why the other angels have cast them out. A war is looming and battles have already been fought, but the human race is just starting to catch on and will hopefully triumph.
We do get to see some of the other Fallen, but because this is a novella we do not get to know them very well. I know there are more books to come in this series and I am really excited to explore them. Rosalie manages to pack a lot into such a short story and I loved every second of it. I am looking forward to learning more about these angels in the future.

I am not a huge fan of series that contain nothing but short stories or Novellas, however I am a big fan of this authors Demons of Infernum series so I downloaded this series as well. It was not a bad story but, but left me with the question of what really even happened here. There is a lot of time spent writing what felt like to me the same thing over and over just worded differently, in the first half of the book. The second half does pick up some and you feel like the plot line is starting to develop and unfold, yet it never came full circle for me. I do like the way author has written the romance between the two main characters, it seemed much more believable than most. It was very short ( for what I am use too ) yet did not feel overly rushed. I think the series has a lot of potential with what little expanding storyline was told and I will continue on with the series and read book two.
I was looking for a quick paranormal romance to read in between other series when I stumbled into this one. The premise was intriguing and the reviews favorable, plus the price was right so I gave it a shot. I am very happy I did so. Eva and Michael are an adorable couple, if somewhat under developed. They have definite chemistry and the scenes we get with them tug at the heartstrings, especially towards the end. The biggest problem with the story is that the short length limited character development, and the predominantly single point of view hindered reader's ability to bond with Michael. We get a lot of Eva's point of view, but not nearly enough of Michael's. Since the relationship develops so quickly and we are unable to really see how his feelings develop, it borders on superficial. Their interactions are more than satisfactory, they are tantalizing and exciting, we just don't get as many of them as I would like. Still, for a short story and introduction to a series, this installment is satisfying enough. The world of the Fallen Warriors is a fascinating one with much to develop as the series progresses, and the warriors themselves give the author plenty of future material to play with. I really hope the author chooses to develop future installments to the fullest. The material is there, her characters are strong, I hope we get to see more of them. I will keep an eye out for this series in the future.
