My most favorite thing about this book is that the heroine is a totally independent firecracker who isn't afraid to take charge and do what needs to be done, and the hero delights in it. This isn't one of those things where the couple learns to accept each other's unlikable qualities. Gavin and Christabel know exactly what they're walking into, and they like it that way. That's what makes their romance so great. They are perfect partners. Not flawless, but working with each others' weaknesses to make each other stronger.

I was with them every step of the way. A couple of the side characters were a little bit cliche for my taste, but the main ones kept me so engaged I honestly didn't even care about that. This book had everything I was craving and hit the spot just right. I am now looking into Ms. Jeffries' backlist to stock up on more of her titles.

The final book of the series and I think it may have been my favorite. I enjoy reading about our two hero's . Bryce is on the surface ruthless but so much more than that. Christabel is a spitfire. The story was excellent. I was wondering if they would find the letters.
Loved it! Two interesting adults with a past in adult situations. I enjoyed Gavin Byrne--a lot. He is the quintissential hard-shelled rogue with a gooey center. Very gooey. And sticky. His counterpart, the widow, Lady Haversham is no shrinking violet with a dynamite figure and an apparent crack shot with a pistol! Watch out! These two characters have texture and layers and secrets that make you want to read on to find out what they are, and what they're up to. I burst out laughing several times at the brutally honest exchanges between these two star-crossed lovers. Intrigue at a gambling party at the estate of a known scoundrel with designs on the monarchy was delightful. The double and triple crossing amongst the shady characters in Gavin's circle was a hoot. One Night with a Prince has just the right amount of teasing and passion to satisfy. I don't smoke but if I did I'd have a blissful puff after reading this one. I've read all three of the Royal Brotherhood books and this one left me very happily ever after.

I seriously cannot rave enough about SABRINA JEFFRIES books.
The first one is as good as the second,third, fourth as many as she has written ....LOL )
Any of her book's or series is just as interesting as the first one you begin reading .

I absolutely loved the Royal Brotherhood series, Jefferies is at her best with these men in need of love, but each hero must conquer his own hang-up about his parentage before he can find his HEA. Witty, sparkling with sensuality, Jefferies entices her readers from the very first page! If I had to choose between the three novels in the series, Draker, in To Pleasure a Prince, was my favorite hero.
Could there be a more sexy hero than Gavin Byrne? I do not think so. I am always entranced by those gentleman club owners, dealing with the gamblers, the partyers and the rakes - just on the very edge of what is acceptable. Gavin did not disappoint. And how about a very seductive rake with a heart. Now that is absolutely the best of the best. This story begins immediately with Christibel and Gavin forming an alliance - even though it was pretend, that she would be his mistress at a country whist party in two weeks. Well you know the pretend part is just a matter of time. Even though Gavin says his heart is protected and he will never fall in love again - he has yet to meet anyone quite like Christabel, a widow. She is totally different from the simple married women Gavin usually has as a mistress. He calls her General Christabel because she not only is a general's daughter she is also that outspoken and for once Gavin is kept on his toes with a woman.I mean the very first time they met - she actually shot at him! He actually finds he loves this challenge and is so very very intrigued. He needs to teach her whist for the party if they are to win the big pot. And the scene where they play wicked whist is one of the more seductively written I have recently read in historical romance. Wow the heat just sizzles! There is another very important plot to why they are teaming up to obtain some scandolous papers from the host of the whist party. This is a very clever side plot and actually very telling - whether Gavin will actually give up on the revenge he wants so desperately against his prince father - or whether the love of Christabel will win out. Gavin is absolutely written with so much depth that the scene at his estate in Bath truly had me in tears. This man is the most mysterious, the most enchanting and for sure seemed to be the most handsome of all the brothers. And even though I enjoyed all three of the Brotherhood books - nothing compares to this one. It was one of the best books I have recently read!! 10 stars!!
Gavin Byrne, bachelor and unclaimed bastard son of the Prince of Wales, agrees to help Lady Haversham retrieve important papers that are in the possession of an acquaintance, Lord Stokely. Gavin will arrange for an invitation to Stokely's annual whist games so Lady Haversham can search for the papers. Gavin doesn't know the significance of the papers but plans to find out and possibly use them against the Prince. Lady Haversham is a forward acting woman, daughter of a general; reared more like a male by her father. Gavin's association with the woman was when she shot at him previously when he showed up at her late husband's home to collect money on a gambling debt. Gavin is taken by Lady Haversham's looks though; he offers to help her but she will have to play the part of his mistress. She agrees as she is desperate to get hold of the damaging papers. Now Gavin, of course, has to tutor her not only on winning at whist but how to act and dress like a mistress. Lady Haversham is naïve in the manner of mistresses but she knows when Gavin is making his moves on her and she rebuffs him when possible; but they have to truly play their parts well in public and therein lies her problem.
